Back to School

Ah yes, it's that time of year again. I have always dreaded the end of summer, except for one thing: back to school clothing shopping. Sure it's fun to pick out new notebooks and crack open a package of brand new #2's, but nothing beats shopping for the perfect outfit for the first day that says "I'm confident!" and "I'm a new and improved me, ready for whatever this year brings!"

It's so weird for me that I am planning on wearing a tshirt and nike shorts on the first day of school. I won't be returning to familiar halls of high school, but instead tackling the new, more casual adventure that is college, where there is no dress code and athletic shorts are acceptable (hallelujah).

For those of you who are in high school and want to flaunt your sun-kissed tan and impress the people you haven't seen in a few months, I have put together a few outfit ideas to use as inspiration.

I've decided to kick off this blog by sharing a few recent outfits-of-the-days that I pulled from the OOTD tab on my Tumblr. I hope to post some outfit pictures soon that are more detailed and higher quality, but for now a few iphone mirror selfies will suffice.

Blog Introduction

How does one introduce a blog? "Welcome to this sneak peak into what goes on inside my head?" "I hope you enjoy the future content of this blog?"

Neither of those sound quite right so I will start with the basics. My name is Kelly and I currently am in the spring semester of my senior year at a big high school in northern Alabama. I have been an avid Tumblr blogger for three years and have decided to take the dive into big-girl blogging. I am completely enthralled in all aspects of fashion and beauty and anything that is pleasant to look at. I plan for the content of this blog to incorporate a little bit of everything that goes along with being a lady. I'm so excited to see how this blog evolves and can't wait to make the first proper post.
